Tempahan grill Kejuruteraan Besi Imam Kuantan part 1

Assalamualaikum dan selamat petang

Hari ni nak cerita pula tentang grill rumah.  Sebab dah dapat kunci, kenala fikir untuk buat grill, wiring, kabinet dapur etc.

Saya tempah grill dengan Kejuruteraan Besi Imam. Bengkel kat Taman Guru, dekat dengan sekolah agama. Belakang sekolah. Nak dijadikan cerita, masuk hari ni dah 5 minggu grill tu tak pasang lagi. Masa nak tempah bukan main lagi, dlm 10 hari boleh siap. 10 hari? Too good to be true la kan. Every week tengok rumah, takde progress lagi. Masa minggu 3, tanya lagi bila nak pasang, dia kata minggu depan, minggu ke 4. Tak boleh pasang awl, katanya nak siapkan kat rumah pantai sepat dulu lah.  Pastu, lori rosak. Of Fine. Sabar lagi. Yang kita marah tu, tak bagitau langsung.

You know what? Week 4. Masih tak pasang lagi. Sejak hari itu, mmg akan telefon die, setiap hari. SETIAP HARI. TAK ANGKAT TELEFON. mesej tak jawab.  Sedangkan sebelum ni ok je call balik and bls mesej.

Semalam da masuk week 5, pergi bengkel dia. Suami pergi jumpa tanya bila nak pasang. Cakap tak serupa bikin. Bila tanya nepe tak angkat Phone. Boleh jawab, tertinggal kat hardware store. Takkan la tak gi ambil. Seminggu kot call hp, takkan tak pegi ambil kat kedai tu. Memang tak boleh percaya orang ni. Bila pergi bengkel, nampak macam baru buat grill kita. What the?  tak siap lagi la tu
Beriya kata da siap, tinggal nak pasang. Porahhh. Next week, we will see. Dia janji Selasa akan pasang. Kalau tak pasang, akan bagi deposit balik. Ok We will see. Pasang ke tak.

Orang wiring taknak buat keje selagi takde grill. Membazir da 2 minggu.. Bajet bulan 1 da boleh kemas rumah, basuh, cat etc. Memang hampeh la. So,please.. Orang kat luar sana, kalau dapat kad dia ni, tak yah la amik. Lambat siap and byk alasan. Next week kita tgk hasil kerja macam mana. Ingat nak bantu org yg buat kerja kecil kecilan ni, tapi hmmmmm....

I need to R.E.A.D!

The title speaks R.E.A.D!

Literally, it means i HAVE TO DEVELOP A HABIT TO READ. As an educator, it is a must for you to read academic text EVERY DAY. I mean it. I feel like I have lost many of academic vocabulary words that I used to use (i know, redundant - haha) during my study years. And now, when I need to face students who are vocabulary-challenged, it hinders me to use more sophisticated or bombastic words to them. Well..well, it should not be an excuse to read academic book or article, right? (slap to my face). In the end, it is up to me!

Probably I can add to that to my 2016 Resolution:

• Read at least 1 article (minimum 3000 words) every morning.

I hope am able to do that and being CONSISTENT. ok, toodles!

#Myfirsthouse - Pinjaman perumahan PART 1

Assalamualaikum dan selamat malam

Alhamdulillah. Akhirnya, dah dpt kunci rumah pertama. (Eh, akan ada rumah kedua ke?) ku bukan kaya untuk beli semuanya tunai, tapi tercapai juga hasrat untuk mempunyai aset walaupun terpaksa meminjam. 

Saya menggunakan pinjaman perumahan kerajaan. Alhamdulillah. Proses berjalan dengan lancar. Ada agen yang tolong selesaikan hal hal berkaitan. Cuma kena pergi pejabat tanah dan peguam untuk tanda tangan dokumen. Proses daripada bayar deposit rumah sampai dapat kunci dalam 4 bulan juga. Tak dpt balik deposit dan terpaksa bayar penalti. Nasib baik tak banyak sangat nak kena bayar. 

Overview proses pinjaman perumahan:

1. Lepas dapat surat pengesahan jawatan, terus cari rumah. Dlm masa sebulan juga nak cari rumah yg berkenan di hati. Berbelah bahagi samada nak beli rumah second hand atau rumah baru. Tp hari tu survey, rumah second je da rm190k (leasehold) dan rumah baru rm210 - 250k ( freehold) , baik amik yg baru. Keputusan muktamad, beli rumah di Kempadang Putra (dah dpt kunci jadi Kempadang Perdana). Rumah saiz 20 x 70 , bangunan 20 x 50. Ok la buat masa sekarang. Sepatutnya siap jun 2016, tp thn 2015 da siap. Akhir okt da dpt kunci. Developer ialah Maxdev. 

2. Dah pilih rumah, call agen developer untuk letak deposit. Hari tu letak rm500 je. Sbb guna loan kerajaan, tu yg boleh letak tu. Tanda tangan borang booking. Lepas tu, tunggu sms dari agen untuk langkah seterusnya. 

3. Isi borang online. Hari tu, agen yg buat. Kite bagi maklumat je. Maklumat seperti kad pengenalan, slip gaji 3 bln terakhir, alamat tempat kerja etc. Senang keje den. Tapi nama kat borang online  salah taip pulak. Jadi, bile print tu, kene sign initial kat tepi and buat pembetulan. Pastu nk kene hntr kat HR untuk pengesahan ke ape tah. Nanti HR akan bgtau la apa dokumen yang dia nak untuk masuk dalam fail peribadi kita. Time ni S&P takde lg. Baru nak hntr permohonan. Bila dah lulus, baru dia buat. Rasanya dalam 1-2 minggu dah boleh tau, lulus ke tak. Tgk kat website bpp je. 

4. Alhamdulillah lulus. Bila dah lulus, apalagi berbunga hati. hehe. Langkah seterusnya, agen akan siapkan S&P dan uruskan dengan peguam. Bila dah settle, agen akan call untuk dtg tandantangan dokumen. Ada 3 salinan. Masa tu tak sempat nak baca agreement. Tapi rasanya semua agreement sama shj isi kandungannya. Lepas dah sign, agen akan proses.

p/s - Kuantan dah mula hujan. Jangan la banjir besar lagi. Petang-petang sejuk begini makan pisang goreng sodap, lagi sedap kalau cicah sambal kicap.

Perihal kematian

Assalamualaikum 

Minggu ni, banyak kematian orang yang dikenali ramai - pak yus jambu, mariani dan tunku jalil. Al fatihah untuk semua. 

Ada orang kata, "eh tak sangka cepat ajalnya sampai", "macam tak percaya dia dah tiada". Tak ingat hari apa, fedtri yahya ada sampaikan dlm mhi, die dgr dr tazkirah di sebuah usrah mengenai kematian. Antara intipati yg diingati, "tiada istilah kematian mengejut". Sebab semua org tahu setiap yg hidup pasti akan mati. Ajal maut sudah ditetapkan. Tetapi adakah kita sudah bersedia menghadapi mati? Apakah amalan yg hendak dibawa ke alam sana? Sudah cukupkah amalan baik kita? Yakinkah kita, syurga tempat tinggal abadi kita?

Persoalan ini buat aku terfikir apakah amalan baik yg aku lakukan selama di dunia ini? Adakah aku layak untuk masuk ke syurga Mu, ya Allah. Dosa ku terlalu banyak, bagai pasir di pantai. Aku tak layak ke syurgamu tapi ju tak sanggup ke nerakamu. Ya Allah, ampunkanlah dosaku, dosa ibu bapa yang telah membesarkan aku, dosa suamiku, dosa anakku, dosa guru guruku, dosa murid muridku, dosa muslimin dan muslimat. Sesungguhnya Engkaulah Maha Pengampun.

Post ni dibuat masa sedang tgk juara parodi, yus dalam kenangan. Siapa sangka, pelawak yang selama ini kita nampak di kaca tv, bergelak ketawa, menghiburkan kita dengan lawak mereka, sebenarnya sama juga seperti kita. Ada masa kita ketawa, ada masa kita menangis. Sebak bila melihat sahabat sahabat arwah pak yus menangisi pemergiannya. Banyak kebaikannya yg tidak kita ketahui. Bila dengar sahabat sahabat dia bercerita pasal kebaikan dia, memang terkesan kat hati. Adakah sahabat sahabat aku juga akan menangisi kematianku? Hanya Allah yg tahu. 

Al fatihah untuk mereka yang telah meninggalkan kita. Kami akan menyusul. 

Rant #1 - Instagram review

pet peeve? pet hate?

I am pretty sure that every people must have one. Annoyance that can grow into intense hatred (i am exaggerated.i aware of that). My current pet peeve is the Instagram review posted by the seller I followed. Well..well. I know you are paid to do the review for the budding insta-sellers (insta-seller vs interstellar??) I was irritated when I scrolled down the Instagram newsfeed, it was only reviews from this one account.

For example, i followed this Instagram account that sells watch. Suddenly, when i scrolled my newsfeed, there are reviews from this "watch insta-seller". Reviews about makeup, detox drinks, gadget accessories, jeans and other unrelated items. How do you feel when you see these on your insta feed? You don't even follow detox drinks, jeans etc Instagram and suddenly it flooded your screen. In just a split second, I do not hesitate to click UNFOLLOW or even BLOCK the account.

I feel that it is unfair to the ones who pay you to promote their products/accounts because the followers have higher chance to overlook the reviews. Just imagine, 10 post reviews in 2 minutes. I will most probably skipped the post and scrolled down to search the posts that are relevant to me. It's just ME. My pet peeve.

My suggestion to the sellers who are getting PAID for reviewing people's product/account, probably you can have like 3 paid reviews per hour. Have an interval 7-10 minutes per post. Use hashtags.

This is only my honest opinion. Again, probably only me who cannot tolerate that. ME only.

Review: Medela Swing Maxi

As a first time mother, we have a dream to breastfeed our little one until he/she is 2 years old. If you are a stay-at-home mom, it wouldn't be that challenging because you can direct feed your child 24/7. In contrast with full time working mom, it is difficult to direct feed your child during working hours. But, fret not, we have an invention called breast pump, which may help the working moms to fully 'breastfeed' their child.

Sorry for the long introduction. Now, let's focus on purpose of this post. I'd like to review the breast pump that I used. It is MEDELA SWING MAXI. It is a double electric pump. More or less like the premium MEDELA FREESTYLE,  but much cheaper.  I bought it from Aja, from mybreastpumpshop. Price is RM1099 plus milk bottles. There are many packages that you can choose from. Fast delivery and offers good after-sale service. Recommended seller. You might want to check the website or her Facebook later.

I've been using this pump for 17 months. Starting from the 3rd day after I delivered my baby. On average, for the first 6 months, I pumped every 3-4 hours during daytime and direct feed at night. However, after my baby started teething (7 month old), I am officially an EP (exclusive pumping) mom. Sob.sob. She didn't want to direct feed since then. So, I need to pump milk 24/7, every 3-4 hours, 20-30 mins/session. FYI, this pump will automatically stop pumping after 30 minutes. It has 2 phase expression, very cute design and very portable. The suction can also be adjusted according to your preference. For swing maxi, you need to feel which suction level that is suitable for you, unlike FS, which has the indicator that shows the suction level (plus point in FS). The suction is still good until today. I suggest that you change the membrane and connector every 6 months , if you are a heavy user (to maintain good experience and hygiene).

Other good thing about this breast pump, I can use battery or power bank. I am usually on travel, and my breast pump is my loyal companion. If you want to use battery, you need to use 6 AAA batteries. But I you want to connect to power bank , you have to purchase USB power bank cable separately. I bought it from lazada, around rm80++. You can also surf this website www.bbmilkit.com to get this cable. Quite pricey but it is worth it.

Despite all of the goodness, this product has its own downside. For me, the cons would be the sound. The sound is quite irritating after 1 year of usage.  It is LOUD. Feel embarassed, if I were to pump in a quiet place. Probably I need to send it for service,  just in case to see it there is any problem. Another cons is, the yellow colour. It is easy to get dirty plus I dont like yellow. Haha.

In conclusion, I can say that the pros outweighs the cons.  If you have extra money, you might want to invest on this pump. I believe that this pump and MEDELA FS are similar in terms of the suction and function. If you think that you really need to watch the LCD display during your pumping session, go on with FS, but if you are not, swing maxi does the job as good as FS. The choice (and  money) is yours.

The journey begins..

Assalamualaikum and good day, It was a hazy day and I want to start a blog! The moment I decided to start writing a blog, was last week, when I couldn't find a satisfactory review about a product (a few products actually).Haha. Lame. YES, I know.

I am writing this blog with a pure intention to help readers to get useful information on something that I used, or something that I experienced. Well,as a woman who talks about 7000 words per day, most of the time,I will ramble about random things - my family,house,schools, work, children,current issues,pet peeves,and the list goes on.

Since this would be my official writing journey in public, any words or phrases that are used in this blog are solely based from my opinion. It does not represent any organisation, religion, ethnicity, 

country etc unless I said so in my writing.
